In November 2007 a Bank I had never even heard of sent me a statement for an overdue amount on a car payment I didn’t even know I owned!
You can imagine the frustration of trying to talk with a bank that has no interest in listening to your story, all they wanted was their money!
Now, obviously this made me VERY angry because I’ve worked extremely hard in protecting my information, not to mention my standing in life, only to see it all vanish like in the movies.
Turns out my computer had been infected by Perfect Keylogger, a malicious monitoring spyware tool that records Web sites visited, keystrokes and mouse clicks. It even logs passwords, account numbers and other sensitive information.

Unbeknown to me, this malicious spyware was residing in my computer, no scratch that, in my own home, uninvited and secretly spying on all my online activities, and sending vital and private information to this hacker who then sold my information on the black market at the price of a McDonald’s value meal!
I contacted the Police, my parents, the local Post Office, my Congressman, the Credit Bureaus,
in fact, anyone I could think of to make this nightmare go away and to ensure that this hacker was “taken care of“… but in the process the damage was already done and everyone and their dogs had had access to my personal information and life.
Whilst I was finally able to stop this nightmare from sending me to an early grave with nothing but mounting bills to pay, many of you probably don’t even realize your home computers could be infected right now, and the hacker’s monitoring your every k.e.y.s.t.r.o.k.e?!
Anyway, why should you? You bought your personal computer in order to enjoy surfing the net and have the convenience of paying your bills online without having to queue at your local bank like you’re waiting for famine relief right?!
